My Top posts, pages, and views for 2010

January 2, 2011

Attractions in 2010.  These are the posts and pages that got the most views in 2010.

1. Talcott Parsons: Structure of Social Action, posted January 2009;
2. Durkheim – Rules of Sociological Method, posted January 2009;
3. Marx – Engels: German Ideology & The Manifesto, posted January 2009;
4. Giddens on Consequences of Modernity, posted April 2008;
5. Anatomy of Revolution – Brinton Part 1, posted May 2009.

The top referring sites for Malcolm L. Rigsby’s Weblog in 2010 were translate.google.com.br, search.conduit.com, delicious.com, google.co.uk, and facebook.com.

Some visitors came searching, mostly for the rules of sociological method summary, the german ideology sparknotes, giddens modernity, rules for the observation of social facts, and voluntaristic theory of action.

This year I hope to add more reflections on particular theoretical works of both classic and contemporary sociological theorists.  Other interests will include thoughts on religion and identity, revolution, social movement, modernity, media, culture industry, and miscellaneous OpEd articles which have appeared in either news paper columns or on other web sites.
